There is no restaurant facilities at Kuyucuk; however, the closest place to eat is at Akyaka town. It is highly recommended to bring your own food with you, and have a nice picnic by the lake. Besides, you should taste "kashar" a pale yellow local cheese which is famous in Kars. You can buy it at any dairy house there. Under he scope of the project "The Enhancement of Nature Tourism facilities of Kuyucuk Lake" it is aimed to market the foods of local cuisine. Some delicious examples of local tastes are "Ayran Aşı, Hengel, Gurut, Kaz Etli Çekmece, Erişteli Aş, Goyut, Gatlama".
